FUNDRAISING NEWS &
NOTES
Without fundraising, PAC's fees
would have to be considerably higher. During the course of the regular
season, we raise funds by selling refreshments at home meets, through the sale
of PAC Gear (clothing and accessories), and most
importantly by hosting the Pennsbury SPLASH. This
is an all day, invitational swim meet held every January. Because of the
size of the meet and the large subsidy it provides, all PAC families are
required to help with the meet either on the deck, in the preparation or behind
the scenes.
In addition, PAC is open to other
fundraising opportunities. Listed below are the fundraising opportunities
that have come our way for the coming season. If you know of any other
opportunities, please contact Gayle Gould,
our club president.
PAC
RECEIVES GRANT FROM KIMBERLY-CLARK
Thanks to
the efforts of Robert and Gayle Gould, PAC volunteers have been recognized by
Kimberly-Clark. In making this $500 grant the Company hopes to encourage more
participation in community activities by adults. PAC depends on parent
volunteers to run the organization as well as staff the meets. Without parent
support we would not be able to provide a great program for our 200 athletes.
Thanks again to the Gould family for making this grant possible!
SWIM
WITH PAC AND PUT MONEY IN THE BANK
Third Federal Savings Bank
is still offering to donate $10.00 to PAC and $10.00 to any PAC child who opens
a savings account with the bank. The bank is located on the Newtown Bypass
behind Shady Brook Farm.
